Sara Gornick, Grade 8 Parish: Holy Family Parish, Seward Parents: Matt and Kristin Gornick Sara is a great young lady, a great leader and a hard worker. She is very polite, helpful and caring. She helps with morning prayer and announcements at school, and she is responsible for raising and lowering our country’s flag daily in front of the school building. She volunteers during school Mass, serving as a cantor, and also helps with our annual fish fry during Lent. Sara volunteers her time at her parish, cleaning the pews and helping with activities. By John Sacco Contributing Writer INDIANA — What Emily Marshall remembers most about St. Bernard Regional Catholic School is the attention received from her teachers and the closeness and friendliness of everyone in the school. Marshall, 19, is a freshman studying music education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She plans to teach students in kindergarten through grade 12.
