Christ The Divine Teacher Catholic School Experience

Mrs. Tallarico's kindergarten students are studying the three states of matter. Using water in it's liquid state, they investigated what might sink and what might float when put into the water.

Serving our community, even while social distancing... Five CDT families created over 50 handmade cards and sun catchers for the residents of Barnes Place Senior Living Community in Latrobe. They were dropped off Wednesday and will be distributed on Saturday after they've been isolated for the appropriate amount of time. If you'd like to take part in the next creation and distribution on April 8th, please contact Mrs. Colleen Evans at cmpevans@comcast.net. Please continue to pray for those in lock-down who are separated from their families at this time.

The faculty and staff surprised the 8th grade graduates at their homes today. We are very proud of you!

Rising first grader Alyssa McDowell wanted to do something nice for the police officers in Latrobe. With help from her mother Julianne, several CDT families, and other friends, last Friday Alyssa and friends delivered a large “basket of sunshine” to the Latrobe Police Department. Included in the basket were drinks, snacks, blessed St. Michael medals, guardian angel coins, pens and much more! In addition to blessing the officers in this way, Mrs. McDowell and Alyssa would like to invite the CDT community to join them in praying a Novena for unity, protection and peace. The Novena will begin July 23rd and end on July 31st.

This has not been a normal year, but we are trying to make it work being back in school. The kids are being little troupers wearing their masks.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Cross Country Team. In Sunday's championship meet, they took first place in all three divisions and earned seventeen individual medals!!!

Happy Halloween! There were so many awesome costumes today!

In the 6th grade year of our Classical curriculum, students study ancient history. Although it took a smaller form this year, Mrs. Slough's history students culminated their unit on ancient Egypt by designing period costumes and inventing board games based on a related topic.

Happy Thanksgiving from our preschool.
