Apostles School

Preschool – 8th

Our Mission

The mission of Mary Queen of Apostles School is to form a new generation of disciples of Jesus Christ by educating the total child – developing minds, building character, and strengthening faith. In a Christ centered learning community, we offer a solid foundation in the fundamentals with a challenging and extensive curriculum evolving to meet the needs of students in an ever changing world. We provide a safe nurturing environment, promote respect for the dignity of each person, emphasize individual responsibility, and encourage service to others under the guidance of our patroness, Mary, the first and model disciple of her Son.

Our Vision

Forming mind, body, and soul for the promise of tomorrow: students academically prepared for the journey, committed to service, and grounded in faith.

Belief Statements

  • Every individual is a child of God, worthy of respect and dignity.
  • All children learn at varying rates in a variety of ways.
  • High expectations directly affect performance. Education is the shared responsibility of the school and community: students, family, faculty, staff and pastors.

Mary Queen of
Apostles School

The philosophy and mission statement of Mary Queen Apostles School are the corner stone of our program and environment. Through our beliefs and values we determine our polices and procedures. Through our documents, we encourage our families, our students and our staff to act and interact so that we are responsible members in a community of learners, witnesses to our faith, and reflections of Christ.

Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic School Experience

Second grade studied different habitats in their unit on animals. This included the living and non-living features. Students chose from woodland forest, desert, rainforest, or arctic habitat, completed research, and created a diorama. Check out the fantastic job the students did!

Pre-Kindergarten brought in their favorite toys they received for Christmas. They had a lot of fun showing everyone their gifts!

BIG DAY IN THE 8TH GRADE!!! NOTECARDS DUE FROM RESEARCH PROJECTS

Here’s a snapshot of an online social studies lesson with Mrs. Figueroa accompanied by the joy of interacting with one another!

Second grade celebrated Earth Day by learning the importance of taking care of God’s gift to us. The students were to recycle and reuse objects found at home to create something new or they could make a poster about the 3 R’s —reduce, recycle, reuse. The students joined a Zoom call with Mrs. Hetu to take turns sharing their science projects.

The theme this week is Science! Let's put on our lab coats and see all of those cool experiments and scientific findings. Here is Elizabeth showing the beautiful rainbow that she created. Makai is testing PH. August is learning about the beehive coke ovens in Armstrong County, what’s left of them is on the hillside behind him. Please feel free to post pictures/videos of all of your junior scientists in the comments.

After learning about the U.S. Constitution this week, Mrs. Hadley’s first graders made Bald Eagles. These eagles remind us of the strength and freedoms we receive from our Constitution.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM MQA!

Second grade students showing their Thanksgiving hats and placemats! Be thankful for your blessings.
